Snakes & Ladders

We activated our prior knowledge and used multistructural thinking to brainstorm all the rules we knew about snakes and ladders.  Then we put on our green thinking hat and came up with new ideas for games that are based on snakes and ladders.

  1. Today we are going to use our designs for 'Taniwhas and Ladders" to make our own board game. We are excited because they will look really cool! We will strive for accuracy so that they will look outstanding!

  2. Hi Room 9

When we made our version of Taniwhas and Ladders
I had to think about what we brianstormed with our groups and on the computer before I did my copy of it. How many versions of Snakes And Ladders are in New Zealand because I don't know

  5. Hi Jed, Braeden and Emily,

It was really fun making our own game ah. Does anyone else think it is interesting to make up different games?

    Hi Miss Watts,

Tomorrow I am going to my very, very best friends house. Her name is Rewa and she was a story gran when I was at kindy. She writes lots of poems and is going to teach me how to do one. Do you think it would be a good idea if I shared it with the class? Would our class be able to do poems when we come back to school? Maybe about our holiday.

  6. Hi Charlotte!

Yes...lets write lots of poetry when we get back to school. Sounds like it will be lots of fun. You must share the poems that you and Rewa write with our class!

Glad you are having a fun holiday! I have been having lots of fun with my mum who is visiting from the UK.

    See you soon.
